RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Security and Preparedness Coordinator at Sollefteå Municipality, the assignment includes:

• Being a cohesive and driving force for the municipality's work with crisis preparedness, civil defense, and security.
• Serving as close support to management and operations, where the role combines strategic development work with operational responsibility for security, preparedness, and crisis management.

The Security and Preparedness Coordinators function as support to municipal leadership and operations in both the planning and execution of preparedness and security measures.

The assignment includes, together with a colleague and also independently:

• Providing consultative support to management and operations to ensure that security work is coordinated and developed.
• Supporting operations in establishing and updating crisis/continuity plans, security routines, and action plans.
• Coordinating and following up on risk and vulnerability analyses (RSA).
• Planning, conducting, and following up on exercises and driving knowledge-enhancing initiatives within crisis preparedness, civil defense, and security.
• Conducting environmental monitoring, investigative work, and serving as the municipality's representative in forums within your focus area in external collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS

We expect the applicant to have a university education in the field of preparedness and security, or other education and experience that the employer deems sufficient.

Since the position is a municipal support function requiring dialogue and collaboration with various internal and external operations, good collaboration skills and trust-inspiring communication are required.

You are analytical, structured, and action-oriented with the ability to prioritize. You have the ability to work both strategically and operationally to develop solutions from a holistic perspective.

You have experience and knowledge of the Swedish preparedness system, continuity and preparedness planning, knowledge of applicable laws and regulations in the field, and experience in leading work on the development of crisis/continuity plans, risk analyses, and other relevant documentation.

You are service-oriented, have good pedagogical skills to communicate orally and in writing. Your documentation skills are good, as is your ability to handle various operational systems. You are accustomed to working both independently and in a group. You are responsive, flexible, and work to achieve set goals.

We place great importance on personal suitability and leadership experience.

Knowledge within the operational area as well as experience in project management and operational development is also considered an asset.

A valid driver's license (Class B) is a requirement as the position involves travel, primarily within the county.
